Peter Paulson's Public Speaking Page

Since 2009 I've been presenting talks and lectures in venues across the western states, from public libraries to international conventions. I bring my own equipment (laptop, projector, sound system, and screen if necessary) and offer an engaging, professional show for groups from a hundred to thousands. I have experience as a writer and a radio broadcaster, and more than anything, my presentations are driven by a penetrating curiosity about the subject and an ability to find interesting answers to interesting questions.

Here are the presentations currently available:

  1. "Smokejumpers: Heroes from the Sky."
  2. "Oners: Extended Movie Shots That Challenged the Crew, Indulged the Director, and Gave the Cast Nightmares."
  3. "Spy vs. Spy: The Holland Problem in World War II."

My speaking fee is based in part on driving distance from Grants Pass, Oregon.

Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland: $100.

Roseburg, Eugene, Albany, Corvallis: $200.

Portland: $300.

Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Reno: $400.

Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Lake Tahoe: $500.

New York City, Chicago, Atlanta: $1,250 plus airfare and accommodations.
